FoAM - Bxl

As of 2020 FoAM's activities in Belgium occur in the shape of FoAM Zenne.
This page provides an archive of the FoAM Bxl studio between 2000 & 2019.
Born as the Art & Science department of Starlab in 2000, FoAM became and independent association in Brussels in 2001. Its shape, size and focus were as dynamic as the people involved. What began as a mixed reality lab transformed by mid 2000s into a transdisciplinary arts laboratory (kunstenwerkplaats). After a decade of working with hundreds of artists and generalists in our studio on the Kanal, FoAM Brussels transformed again. In 2017 we shapeshifted into a loose collective without fixed premises, focusing on the connections between art and nature, art and care. In 2020 FoAM Bxl, always a proponent of flow, became FoAM Zenne.
