Passionate science communicator striving to smash barriers for societal engagement with science. Chris has worked in global conservation projects for and with international botanic gardens and helped secure botanic garden and conservation accreditations for Eden Project, Cornwall, UK. Chris’ work in Eden Project’s policy team brought him to science outreach projects as Eden’s ‘Alien Escape’ escape room and the build of Eden Project’s Invisible Worlds open laboratory. With support from artists, performers and creators Chris delivered several funded and themed weekends at Eden Project. During the management and programming of the Invisible Worlds Lab Chris worked with FoAM Kernow on the Invisible Worlds residencies. These residencies provided an opportunity for people to engage with the world in so many exciting ways as well as providing exposure, experience and opportunities for exciting new artists. Recent projects include working with University College London and Science Museums Group on developing a science capital toolkit that aims to identify barriers to science engagement.
