Hosting Craft

Hosting Craft is a series of tutorials about hosting (or facilitating) conversations. A group of practitioners from the cultural sector develop facilitation skills through practice-based stories and exercises, guided by Maja Kuzmanovic of FoAM Brussels and guest facilitators. The tutorials range from the basics of asking questions, public speaking, active listening and understanding the dynamics of dialogue in groups of various sizes, as well as summarising and recording conversations, to shaping more complex workshops spanning one or more days, graphic harvesting and design thinking.

This activity was initiated in 2013 by popular demand of artists and cultural workers in need of building process facilitation skills. We are currently experimenting with the content and format of the tutorials with a small group of participants.
