A short talk and display of our Greenspace Voxels model at an event on the uses for virtual reality. These are minecraft and physical models of city greenspace, using voxel data from full-waveform LiDAR (laser scanning landscapes from aircraft). From an environmental research perspective, looking at greenspace in three dimensions allows a new, more complete perspective on habitat connectivity and the use of space by wildlife. From an urban planning and architectural perspective understanding the impact of a new build on a landscape in three dimensions provides a valuable tool for moving towards sustainable practices.

The event is free to attend, but you need to register here.
