Description
Every Friday afternoon, FoAM in Brussels opens its doors for a weekly apéro – a social get-together of the FoAM team, its members, visitors and curious passers-by. In an informal atmosphere accompanied by a few sips and bites, you can meet the community, hear the latest news and tales from the past, and share your own stories.
Most Fridays we begin the apéro with a short Brusseleir lesson. Brusseleir is a quaint Brussels dialect where Flemish and French are intimately entangled, bound by swampy vowels and archaic syntax - although some would say that it is more a mentality than a language… As a multilingual group, we were curious to add this disappearing language to our vocabulary.
